Old Train Depot
Madison, Florida

The Ghost Trackers arrived at the old depot around 8:30 p.m. in the evening dusk as nightfall was fast approaching. The first thought that came to mind was the general consensus among ghost hunters..." if it looks haunted it most likely is". This historic old depot with all its character and charm did indeed look "haunted". WE all felt IT! But was unsure exactly as to what IT was. Upon entering the old building, (after quickly searching for flashlights and light switches). The Ghost Trackers went about roaming the rooms to get a feel of the building and to get a take on its atmosphere. When the last of the day's sunlight was flickering through the trees the Ghost Trackers returned to their automobiles to unload their equipment and the nights Investigation began. Jim and Michele went about collecting base line data with Jim noting a significant lower temperature in the pink room and bathroom. After setting up Sony Handy- cam video cameras with super night shot in the pink room, the double front door foyer area, the kitchen and then several minutes later after seeing sparkles and capturing orbs
With a Sony Mavica digital camera Vylanda positioned a camcorder in the bathroom. Motion detectors were placed in rooms unoccupied by the Ghost Trackers as well as audio recorders. After having all equipment in place the Ghost Trackers retired to the pink room to meditate and communicate with spirits of the depot. We all had the feeling that we were indeed the "others" and were intruding.

This building, its environment and its ghost were from another era in time. We sensed them. They made their presence's known as the night's investigation progressed in a variety of ways. We all smelled the VERY distinct aroma of coffee brewing, we all heard sounds coming from inside the closed bathroom door. In a deep state of meditation a clairvoyant member of the group saw a man in brown pants and an off white colored long sleeve shirt rolled up to his elbows; sensing he was from a time when the depot was a part of an active railroad the clairvoyant going into a deeper alpha state was able to see him clearly walking down an old clay road caring a lantern. Later in the evening a neighbor lady who had lived briefly in the depot stopped by. We were able to interview her and to learn first hand about her paranormal experiences. We were told when she lived there sleeping in the first room to the right; from time to time as she lay in bed she would see a man with an off white colored shirt, brown pants caring a lantern in the room! WE WERE ASTONISHED ...to have our information so readily validated.

**NOTE* we did not at any time-share our information with her. * Another event that was later validated happened also in the pink room. BBGT member Jim was in meditation when the name Charlie came out of "no where" to him. We later was to learn that a former stationmaster was named Charlie Hodnet.

As the nights investigation progressed orbs were captured on digital as well as video cameras. Jim noted temperature changes using a thermal scanner every half-hour. In the wee morning hours after a fulfilling night the Ghost Trackers settled down to get some much sought after sleep. Jim decided to sleep in the haunted-active pink room……as least he attempted to sleep in it! After a series of knocks on the window…Jim joined us in the front room!

Conclusion: We believe the Depot is indeed haunted; it's very possible this is a residual haunting….the many emotions and events that took place in this historical building continue to
hang on and linger in its environment and replaying.

Who was there? 6 Ghost Trackers

A special thanks to Ms. James the Depots proud owner for allowing us the opportunity to conduct our investigation.

** Residual Haunting -One of the most common type of haunting. An event replaying over and over through sound, images or smells. The ghost/spirit is oblivious to the living
and does not interact.
